I'm a bit sleepy this afternoon. Yesterday was my birthday and it being the summer solstice here, we decided to celebrate Aussie style. A few friends and I had a picnic on the beach of tapas-like bites and watched the beautiful sun set from the sand with lively conversation of travel stories, ideas and philosophy. Later we took a moonlight dip in the ocean. Others left but Paul and I stayed and slept beneath the stars..felt good to sleep in the fresh air to the sound of the waves. It was an great week. We flew up to Sydney for a Christmas party, my first real trip in Oz. We toured the sites, then drove down the coast which was beautiful! This photo is from Bondi Beach, but I've also posted a few of the other sites, and of Paul and I, and some of my flatmate and friends, Thanksgiving and the like. Click on the photo to see more. Just back from the trip, now it's time for holiday preparations. We'll spend Christmas day with some of Paul's distant relies, but look forward to a bit of relaxation at home too.
